How I Learned To Trust My Spirit Guide

At the age of eighteen, I was walking my baby brother home from the park. The road was mostly quiet. We were just heading home to the apartment. Just as I was reaching the place where I would push the stroller across, I heard a voice call my name. Given that the street was quiet, and my brother couldn’t talk at the time, I thought I was hearing things. Just as I was walking across, a car sped by, nearly missing us both. Instead, we were both pulled back by an invisible force. That was my spirit guide, and I had just met him.

After that incident, I started listening for him. I had recently begun studying Paganism, and spirit guides fascinated me. I learned very quickly how to contact him whenever the need arose. Sometimes he contacted me. We learned to trust each other very quickly.

That was eleven years ago. Time has changed me since then. I don’t find myself calling on him for every little thing I may need. What I have learned is that I had to learn to trust that he will be there when it really counts. He has been. There have been a few close calls in recent years. All of which I feel would have ended badly, had I not had him there.

People who trust their guides like I do are more than likely get to the most out of having them around. They can get solid advice, and insight. They do not tend to be as stressed. They know they will be taken care of by a higher power. They can lead full, healthy lives.

Guardians are called many things. They are most commonly known as Guardian angels. Spirit guide is a relatively new age term, though it encompasses many beings. Just believing in them is enough. The idea behind them remains the same.

Learning to trust my spirit guide was the best move I have made in my life. I will never regret allowing him into my life. He has been everything from my best friend to my brother in recent years. We talk a lot of things out when I am having it rough. I’ve made some of my best recent decisions because of him. People should trust their guides to lead them right. I’m glad I do.
